At this year’s NRF event, the TROLLEE smart shopping cart was highlighted on Qualcomm’s stand to bring to life the future of retail by showcasing the latest shopping experiences. In collaboration with Veea Inc. and Qualcomm Technologies, iFREE GROUP unveiled and demoed the new TROLLEE RetailHub and AdEdge solutions, showing how consumer experience can improve right along with profit margins when the tech is paired with strategic thinking.
TROLLEE is a smart shopping cart loaded with the AdEdge advertising platform developed by Veea™ , and the joint solution is a next-generation shopping experience designed to upgrade shopping carts, or trolleys. Altogether, TROLLEE brings edge computing, AI, and indoor positioning into one service that is set to give Smart Retail a real upgrade.
Shoppers will be most excited by the ease of use, targeted discounts, and help to navigate shops, but the NRF buzz was all about the contextual digital advertising solution, namely AdEdge. The sophisticated advertising platform is designed to intelligently and proximally micro-target shoppers with interactive and immersive advertising in the real world. It processes real-time data from multiple sources to provide holistic insights and deeper intelligence about ad performance, viewer attentiveness, demographics, and shoppers' preferences. Retailers can set a full range of advertising campaign goals and constraints that are delivered locally with the ability to cache the ad content for targeted, personalized advertising supported by accurate indoor positioning.
Advertising content, special offers, and/or coupons for products in the store are cached on VeeaHub units and are delivered instantaneously when a shopper is in the proximity of the advertised products for unparalleled shopping experiences.
Shoppers can find what they need more efficiently while checkout is streamlined, reducing staffing requirements. Based on shoppers' journeys through the store, retailer's planograms can be highly optimized for most shoppers through machine learning and AI. Customers will use this virtual, personal shopping device as a concierge to seek recommendations, discounts, and product reviews to make their in-store experiences unique, memorable, immersive, fun, and, most importantly - easy.
"Retailers win when they consistently deliver exciting experiences to customers, while driving sales of products in their physical stores, supporting brands in disruptive new ways." said Allen Salmasi, Founder and CEO, Veea, Inc.
TROLLEE trials are underway in south-east Asia, China and Japan where they are garnering positive feedback from major retailers. "With TROLLEE, unprecedented changes in retail is about to sweep the world." said Wei, Founder and CEO of TROLLEE.
